Menopause Relief

There are two times in our life when we as women experience changes within our body that we have no control over, they are happening whether we like it or not.
One we are prepared for, as in we are educated about (puberty), the other we most certainly are not.

Up until very recently there has been very little helpful talk about the menopause and the impact it has on our lives. Hormones are rife and symptoms can vary from extreme mood swings to brain fog and from hot flashes to anxiety.

For many years Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) has been the treatment of choice, it has had some bad press over the years but with all drugs and medication it has changed and is available in different forms.

However, there are many women who are unable to take HRT due to underlying health issues and many who simply choose to go down the more natural route.

I am not a  medical expert and can offer not advice as to which route you should take, all I shall say is take the route that feels right for you, don't be pressured in to something that does not sit easy with you - it is your body after all.

As someone who has been through a diagnosis of Oestrogen fed Breast Cancer, I fall in to the category of not being able to take HRT, and as such have had to find alternative methods of relief from the symptoms.

In addition, because my menopause was chemically induced, i.e. chemotherapy and tamoxifen, I was pushed in to a rapid menopause rather than a natural progression, my symptoms were quite intense.

It is because of my own personal circumstances that I took steps to find an alternative option to help those ladies who, for whatever reason, HRT was not an option.

The Menopause Relief Programme (MRP) is a hypnotherapy based programme that will give you the tools to help manage some of your symptoms and aims to make you feel a little more like your old self again - or as near as we can ever get!

The MRP runs over a 4 week period and can either be done here at my clinic in Bewdley, over video call or can be purchased in audio form.

No two women experience symptoms in the same way & can sometimes be a little difficult to diagnose. Some of the following can be signs and symptoms:

  • Increased Anxiety
  • Hot Flashes
  • Weight Gain
  • Irritability
  • Poor Sleep Patterns
  • Mood Swings
  • Brain Fog
  • Night Sweats
  • Palpitations
  • Loss of Libido
  • Joint Stiffness / Aches & Pains
The menopause can also increase your risk of developing certain other problems, such as osteoporosis.

If you are experiencing any of these symptoms do not be afraid to go to your GP.
